Frequently Asked Questions

Q: When can I book tickets for the 2013 Napa Valley Jazz Getaway?

A: Gold Packages and Single event Tickets are currently on sale NOW by clicking HERE. VIP and Silver Packages plus the Opening Night Welcome Dinner are SOLD OUT.

Q: Once I purchase a Gold package, when will I receive the Napa Valley Jazz Getaway ACCESS CARD?

A: The 2013 Napa Valley Jazz Getaway ACCESS CARDs will be available for pick up at the Napa Valley Opera House box office starting June 3rd, 2013 at 12noon. Please bring your ID of the person who's name ordered the tickets to receive your card/s. They will also be available for pick up at The Westin Verasa and Silverado Resort starting Wednesday, June 5th, 2013 at 12noon. *Note:  they will NOT be mailed to you with your tickets prior to the event, you have to pick them up in person at one of the three locations stated above.

Q: What exactly is the Napa Valley Jazz Getaway ACCESS CARD? Why do I need it and how do I get it?

A: You are entitled to an ACCESS CARD if you booked a VIP Package, Gold Package or Silver Package. Your card is good for several things. First of all, it will give you "2-for-1" wine tastings at our participating wineries which will save you a lot of money if you try several different places. Some wineries can charge $40+ per person per tasting so there is a significant savings for each couple. Second, this card will also be your 'passport' to many other cool places in Napa Valley including discounts and specials deals at restaurants, shops, services and more! I'm also offering exclusive mp3 downloads of all the background music tracks from the documentary parts of my Live From The Inside CD/DVD and with the ACCESS CARD, you simply go to the website printed on the back of the card and enter the code to get your FREE Downloads. This card is made of hard plastic similar to the size and feel of a credit card and is printed with our artwork and logo making it a cool souvenir as well. Thanks to Distrophonix for providing these cards!

Q: Do we have to stay at one of the partner hotels such as The Westin Verasa or Silverado Resort?

A: No, you are not required to stay at either The Westin or Silverado Resort. You are free to stay anywhere you wish. However, we are planning "Late Night Hangs" in the lobby bar at the Westin with all of the artists and musicians each night so there is a convenience factor staying there if you want.

Q: If we buy the Silver (2-Day) Package, is there any way we can still get the Napa Valley Jazz Getaway ACCESS CARD for the "2-for-1" wine tastings?

A: Yes! We have restructured our ticketing and therefore are now giving the ACCESS CARDs to all VIP's, Gold's and Silver Package holders.

Q: Is it possible to purchase a ticket to just one of the evening concerts? Thursday, Friday, Saturday or Sunday?

A: Yes! There are single tickets to the following shows: Thursday Outdoor Welcome Party with DW3 & Brian Culbertson ($49/each), Thursday night with BWB & Brian Culbertson ($99/each), Friday Night Funk Night with Larry Graham, Sinbad & Brian Culbertson ($99/each), Saturday night "BC & Friends" plus wine reception and GRAMMY Foundation Auction ($129/each) and Sunday night "BC & Friends" finale show ($99).

Q: Are you offering group rates or any discounts to seniors or local residents?

A: Unfortunately, we are not able to offer group rates or any discounts since space is very limited.

Q: Can I buy a single Gold Package or are those sold in pairs also like the VIP Package?

A: There is no limitation on how many or how few Gold Packages you can purchase so you can definitely buy just one of those Packages. Only the VIP Packages are sold in pairs (limit 2 pairs).

Q: Is there an age limit of 21 years old to attend since this is a wine event?

A: No. There is no age restriction. However, we do not recommend children under the age of 10 as we do not want younger children disturbing our concert goers in these very intimate venues. Please leave all small children with the grandparents and enjoy a few days in the romantic wine country by yourselves :)

Q: When can we book a hotel room at either Silverado Resort or The Westin Verasa at the special discounted rate?  And how much are the rooms?

A: Our discounted blocks at both The Westin Verasa and Silverado Resort & Spa have sold out but you are still free to book a room there directly on their website.

Q: If I booked a VIP Package, are we required to ride on the "BC Wine Bus" with all of the other VIP's?

A: No. You can certainly rent your own car or hire your own service and meet up with all the other VIP's if you prefer. We are just providing this option as a courtesy so that you can fully take advantage of all of the 'tastings' and not have to worry about driving.

Q: Is there going to be a difference in the performance length between the 1st and 2nd shows at the Opera House on Thursday and Friday nights? I'm not sure which one to book (Group A or B) and I want to see the longer show.

A: Both performances will be exactly the same length due to the fact that we have another event afterwords at the Westin: The Late Night Hang. Sometimes in jazz club settings, the 2nd show can be longer, but in this case each set length will be the same. Feel free to choose either show and base it on your preference to eat dinner early or late just like on The Smooth Jazz Cruise.

Q: I just received my tickets and they say "Good for either Thursday OR Friday" and "Good for either Saturday OR Sunday".  I thought these were supposed to be for both Thursday AND Friday plus Saturday AND Sunday!!

A: Don't worry! They are good for BOTH days, there was a printing error in some of the early tickets printed...please accept our apologies for the confusion. Tickets purchased from mid-January on should read correctly. If you have the Gold Package, you will have 2 tickets (1 for Thursday and Friday at the Opera House and 1 for Saturday and Sunday at the Lincoln Theater). Please hold on to each ticket and use them for both nights. If you have the Silver Package, you will have 1 ticket which is good for both Saturday and Sunday at the Lincoln Theater.

Q: I bought tickets to the Ray Parker Jr. Solo Acoustic Performance at Chimney Rock and I didn't receive any tickets in the mail, nor any to print out. When will I receive those?

A: There are no printed tickets needed for this performance. Your name will be on a 'will call' list and we will check you in for the event since it is such a small amount of people attending.

Q: I also bought tickets to the Opening Night Welcome Dinner and have not received my tickets for that.  Will those be sent or emailed?

A: This is same as the Ray Parker performance...no printed tickets are required as your name will be on the 'will call' list at the door.

Q: Are there physical tickets needed to attend the Outdoor Welcome Party with DW3 on Thursday, June 6th?

A: If you have purchased either a VIP or Gold Package, your name will be at the 'will call' list and when you check in, we will give you a stylish and commemorative Napa Valley Jazz Getaway wrist band that will need to be worn that afternoon. If you have purchased a single ticket for this event, you will be able to 'print at home' or have the physical ticket mailed to you prior to the event. When you present your ticket at the check in table, you will also receive a wrist band to be worn that afternoon.

Q: What attire should we wear at the different events?

A: I am recommending that everyone wear upscale casual and comfortable clothing during the day. Men: nice jeans or slacks, a button down or polo shirt and a sweater or light jacket depending on the temperature. Women: nice skirt, slacks or sun dress with a casual top plus a sweater or light jacket again depending on the temperature. And just like last year, for the evening concerts I would like for everyone to bring it! Men: suits and ties are recommended, but not required. Women: evening dresses or skirts with nice tops.
